The Greeks were considered to be very good at warfare.
Spear and sword

The spear was an important weapon used by warriors/hoplites. They were 6-8 feet long made from a sharp iron head. In case the iron head broke they had a bronze butt on the other hand that they could use. Swords were their secondary weapon, only used if they lost their spear/was thrown or if their spear had broke.
Armor and shield

The armor of the soldiers weighed about 60-65 pounds. It was designed to protect them from spears, arrows, and other weapons aimed towards them. Their shields were used to protect themselves and others around them, it was also used to smash spears from the enemy. Along with their armor and shields, the soldiers wore helmets.
Phalanx

The Phalanx was a military formation created by Alexander the Great. It was a tight formation of soldiers designed to protect the soldiers from the attacks of the enemy. Your shield would protect you and the people next to and behind you. The soldiers in the front row had their spears pointed in front of them to itimidate and attack the enemy. The soldiers behind them projected their spears towards the sky to block out/deflect arrows coming towards them.
Ballista

An ancient crossbow that was considered the most powerful weapon of Ancient Greece. It could fire many long range arrows at the same time. It was often used in attacking forts.
Warships

Because Greece is surronded by water, warships were very efficient/useful to use. The earliest Greek warships were called Pentekoners.
